Master's Message
October 2007
Dear Brethren,
At one time it seemed the road most followed was to be a Mason quietly, working only within the framework of the Lodge to the exclusion of everything else, giving the appearance of being secretive and inadvertently fostering the false idea of a secret and closed society.
But things have changed and changed dramatically. There is a growing groundswell of enthusiasm for Masonry, bringing with it a new generation of Masons. We are seeing more new faces, younger faces, enthusiastic faces and behooves us to take these new, younger threads of Masonry and weave them into the rich tapestry of our Brotherhood, continually stressing our commitment to the community around us.
These are exciting times in Masonry and each of us must become a part of this change and do our utmost to become actively involved in community affairs and to further the enthusiasm that has already begun. It is a wonderful time to be a Mason and as Incoming Master, I am looking forward to become an active part of it.
Fraternally,
R.W. Robert James Rawding, G.C.
