Master's Message
December 2006
Dear Brethren,
Merry Christmas - Happy Hanukkah - Season's Greetings. We are now approaching a wonderful time of the year. A time for peace on Earth and goodwill toward men. A time when our thoughts turn to the ideals of Faith, Hope and Charity. Faith in the benevolence of our Creator, and the reward for an unfaltering trust in Him. Hope for a better future for our children, and those who follow us. Charity in that we can find it in our hearts to provide for those less fortunate than ourselves during this joyous season, to the best of our ability. It is also a time when the thoughts of many turn to the principles of Morality and Brotherly Love. Sadly, many people place an emphasis on these ideals only at this time of the year. Does attending a holiday service once a year constitute an unfaltering faith in our Creator? Does two weeks of hope for a brighter future for the world make it any closer to becoming a reality? Does the need for charity for those less fortunate than ourselves not apply in the summer months. Are the principles of Morality and Brotherly Love seasonal in nature? While this may be true for many, a true Mason's thoughts of Faith, Hope, Charity, Morality, and Brotherly Love are with him all year long. If you keep these principles safely in your breast, every day of your life will be a joyous holiday.
Fraternally,
James T. Lind
Worshipful Master
