North Arlington Lodge Number 271 is celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year. As a part of the celebration, The Most Worshipful Grand Master Robert L. Miller made an official visit to the lodge on September 15. The evenings program included remarks by the Most Worshipful Grand Master, the District Deputy Grand Master Ralph Todd (8th Masonic District), and the Worshipful Master John Lacki, Jr. The presentation of the history of the lodge was made by J. Gordon Fowlie, P.M., the Historian of the lodge. Grand Staff members, both elected and appointed who were present, were introduced by the Grand Marshall R.W. Robert H. Klick. All in attendance received a souvenir of the event.
On Saturday, September 27, the lodge held a dinner dance to celebrate our anniversary. Over one hundred brothers and their guests were in attendance. The event was held at Crystals in Lyndhurst, New Jersey. Highlights of the evening included the celebration of P.G.M. Ferris O. Tryons 70th Birthday Brother Ferris is an honorary member of North Arlington Lodge. The Secretary to the Grand Master, R.W. Charles Secallus, presented the lodge a certificate from the Grand Master honoring our 75th Anniversary. Also in attendance from the Grand Staff were R. W. John Ryan, Grand Orator, R.W. Ralph Todd, District Deputy Grand Master of the 8th Masonic District, and R.W. Joseph J. Kubik, District Deputy Grand Master of the 4th Masonic District, R. W. James J. OToole, and R.W. Jack Darakjy. A number of Past Masters of North Arlington Lodge were in attendance, including Right Worshipful Brothers who have served the Grand Lodge over the years. Everyone in attendance received souvenirs of this event. A truly wonderful time was had by all.
